Our Students

In the fall of 2005, 34 Bay area high school juniors were chosen to participate in the CollegeWorks program. Two years later, these deserving students, most of who will be the first in their family to attend college, will realize their educational dreams this fall when they attend colleges such as Brown, Colgate, Kenyon, Pepperdine, UC Berkeley, UCLA and Vassar with $677,000 in cumulative financial aid.

Since 2003, CollegeWorks has helped 95 students from Oakland and Napa County attend colleges and universities such as American University, Brown, Colgate, Kenyon, Northwestern, Occidental, University of Pennsylvania, Reed, Spelman, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Vassar, Whittier, and The College of Wooster. The average financial aid award per student in their freshmen year has been over $20,000. Their collective financial aid over their four-year college careers is projected to exceed $7,500,000.
